Creating Welfare Partnerships

Enabling ways to improve zoo welfare around the world requires strong working relationships between all the key individuals and groups involved with zoo management and animal welfare.

Wild Welfare’s partnerships with animal welfare NGOs and the accredited zoo community are key to enabling expert, committed support that work towards securing the very highest animal welfare standards. The challenge of improving welfare in the world’s worst captive wild animal collections is huge, but the unique expertise of each of these two groups creates partnerships that can and are making a difference for animals.

We have collaborated with some of the largest international animal welfare organisations in the last several years and established positive working relationships with them that have enabled us to achieve great results on many of our projects. On a more individual basis, our Partner for Animals welfare partnership programme sees us working with the world’s leading zoos and linking their knowledge with zoos needing support and together making changes to help captive wild animals lead better lives.
