One of our key activities is to provide a welfare assessment service, at the collection, enclosure and individual species level. We’ve created detailed and practical welfare assessment tools that help identify specific welfare concerns. With the zoos permission this assessment details all aspects of a zoo’s management and resource limitations that can lead to poor animal welfare in captivity. They are tailored specific to the facilities needs, whether to generate an initial report on animal care opportunities and gaps, or support on-going welfare assessments against institutional, regional association or national standards and regulations.
