Seasons Greetings from Wild Welfare

Wild Welfare would like to take this opportunity to wish all its supporters Seasons Greetings, we hope you all have a wonderful time over Christmas and enjoy a great start to 2017.

Throughout 2016 we have been working hard with our vision in mind: to end the suffering of captive wild animals around the world and we have come a very long way to achieve that vision.

We have trained more than 200 animal care staff in key animal husbandry, welfare and enrichment principles. We have worked with individuals from Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan, empowering those tasked with caring for zoo animals to make animal welfare their highest priority.

This year has seen us help enrich the lives of animals in facilities in Brazil, Vietnam, and Indonesia, teaching zoo staff how they can create and utilise no-cost and low-cost enrichment resources and offer their animals positive welfare experiences.

We have presented at key animal behaviour and captive wild animal conferences across the world, sharing our vision with animal welfare influencers and offering practical, constructive solutions to critical welfare issues.

In 2017 we aim to go even further

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has worked with us this year. To all our project partners, everyone who has taken part in our training, all those who have helped facilitate and build on our new and existing relationships and to all our generous donors and supporters.

With your help we are changing lives for zoo animals. We are enriching more captive wild animals’ lives and we are helping those that care for them to give animal welfare the priority it deserves. On behalf of captive wild animals around the world, thank you.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
