The team here at Wild Welfare are bursting with excitement to announce that we’ve secured four highly coveted charity runner places in the TCS London Marathon 2026.
The London Marathon is an internationally renowned spectacle that incorporates the world’s largest marathon and the biggest one-day annual fundraising event on earth, with over £1.3bn raised for good causes since 1981. Securing a runner’s place via the hugely popular ballot system is no easy task! So we are thrilled to be able to offer these sought after places which will help raise funds to support our vital work.
Imagine yourself joining 50,000 fellow runners along this 26.2 mile legendary route taking in the iconic landmarks of central London, spurred on by roaring crowds, whilst knowing that each step you take is supporting the welfare of captive wildlife around the world. This is your opportunity to be involved in something truly unique; challenging your own personal limits while actually making a difference to the lives of animals in need. The funds you raise will directly help provide real support for our much needed animal welfare projectsFrom improving animal welfare legislation in South Korea, to raising animal care standards in Brazil, or training staff to change the lives of their animals in sanctuaries across Southeast Asia, we are providing the resources and expertise to positively impact hundreds of thousands of wild animals in captivity around the world.
Our wonderful Fundraising Manager, Victoria Fanthorpe, is absolutely thrilled about this opportunity. “We’re delighted to be able to offer these prestigious London Marathon places to our amazing supporters,” she said. “It’s a real opportunity to achieve a challenge of a lifetime while creating a real difference for animal welfare across the globe. We can’t wait to hear from enthusiastic runners or anyone looking to take on a big, personal challenge and are willing to go that extra mile for captive wildlife!”
Are you ready to lace up your running shoes and become a part of this amazing experience? Applications are NOW OPEN! We welcome anyone passionate and committed to raising funds to help animals to submit their expression of interest via our website at: WildWelfare.org/London-Marathon
