Animal Welfare Legislation in Vietnam

Last week, Wild Welfare and Animals Asia were out in Vietnam to discuss the drafting of the new zoo welfare standard. We’re excited to be working with the Vietnam government to support the introduction of zoo animal welfare standards. The Vietnam Zoo National Working Group, set up as a result of a jointly hosted workshop in December 2014, have proposed the introduction of animal welfare regulations that will ensure better standards of care for captive wild animals.
