Animals rescued from Syrian zoo
Animals have been rescued from a zoo in war-torn Syria and transferred to safety in Turkey.
The lions, tigers, hyenas and bears, stranded amid the country’s ongoing civil war, have been moved from Magic World Zoo in Aleppo, to the north west of Turkey, in a joint effort by international animal welfare charity Four Paws, Turkey’s Forestry and Water Affairs Ministry and a Turkish animal charity.
