White-Rumped Shama are native to South East Asia and India.
Males are very brightly coloured with vibrant blue and orange feathers and a long tail. Females have less colourful feathers. A male and female will usually form a monogamous pair.
The conservation status of the white-rumped shama is least concern meaning their population is stable and numerous. However they are under threat from the demands of the pet trade where their welfare is often compromised due to poor care.
