Dak Lak’s elephant Gold receives new enrichments
Baby elephant Gold, who is cared for at the Dak Lak Elephant Conservation Centre (ECC), Vietnam, has been having fun with new enrichments, including his very own sandpit and paddling pool.
The ECC, the organisation that cares for Gold, is supported by the Vietnam Elephant Initiative (VEI), an initiative we co-founded with Animals Asia Foundation and Elephant Care International.
The ECC benefits from veterinary support and ongoing care and welfare advice and works to ensure Gold and another juvenile elephant, Jun, receive the best possible animal care and welfare. These new enrichments will provide hours of fun and enjoyment for Gold, helping him remain happy and fulfilled within his captive environment.
