The Asian small clawed otter is semi-aquatic and found across South East Asia.
They are inquisitive and agile, able to move easily within varying terrains. They are also very tactile, using both their paws and sensitive whiskers to discover their environment.
Otters benefit from a varied diet, the opportunity to be sociable and an environment that encourages all their natural behaviours.
The populations of these otters is in decline. They are classified as vulnerable by the IUCN and are at risk from habitat loss and the demands of the pet trade.
