Kangaroos and Wallabies are native to Australia and are collectively known as macropods.
They have a very specialised reproductive system unique to marsupials (animals with pouches)
They are herbivorous and have a four-chambered stomach to help digest the large amounts of low nutrient food that they consume.
Although most species are plentiful in number, there are some species which are at risk from habitat loss through agriculture and bush fires.
