Take Part in Our 2.6 Challenge!

Today, the 2.6 Challenge Campaign has launched! This challenge aims to help #SaveTheUKCharities by raising money

We’re calling on our supporters to have some fun and raise some money by taking our unique #26AnimalChallenge

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a catastrophic effect on UK charities, leading to an estimated loss of £4 billion for the sector. Wild Welfare is not immune and as we are we are reliant on our supporters to continue our work to end the suffering of captive wild animals now, and in the years to come, we need your support more than ever.

Therefore we are excited to be one of the hundreds of charities taking part in the 2.6 Challenge. The 2.6 Challenge, challenges people to do any activity that involves 26 – You can run or walk 2.6 miles, 2.6km or for 26 minutes. You could juggle for 2.6 minutes!  We have taken it a step further and are asking you to take the 26 Second Animal Challenge!

While many people will take part on Sunday 26th April, you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.

OUR CHALLENGE

Our challenge if you choose to accept it, is to name at least 26 animals in 26 seconds! Thats easy we hear you say!  Well it’s not as easy as you may think and we challenge you and your friends to give it a go! Who do you think can name the most animals?

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO

Set up your fundraising page for Wild Welfare and ask family and friends to sponsor you to carry out the #26AnimalChallenge or simply carry out the challenge, share and make a small donation via the link.

WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?

  1. Start the stopwatch and go! List as many animals as you can in 26 seconds. Can you list 26 animals or more?!
  2. Film on your smartphone and upload to your social media!
  3. Tag Five Friends and challenge them to beat your number (if you’re camera shy, just share the number you reached!)
  4. Tag us @WildWelfare and use #TwoPointSixChallenge #WelfareWarrior #26AnimalChallenge to let us know you’ve taken the challenge – we’ll be sharing as many as possible, particularly those that are really good or really funny!
  5. Share with family and friends and, if you can, support us through a simple donation or fundraise more through Just Giving.

WE NEED YOU

Now more than ever, we need your help. Like many charities we are facing a substantial drop in our fundraising income. We want to be able to help more animals now and in the future, but we’re facing tough choices. By supporting us through The 2.6 Challenge, you will be helping us, help more animals and end captive animal suffering. Just £5 from all each of our online supporters would help us raise £25,000!

Please help us continue to be able to make a difference for animals by taking part. Thank you so much for your support from the whole of the team.
