Wild Welfare Fundraiser Raffle Winners Announced
Wild Welfare’s charity fundraiser has raised more than £4,500, money that will be used to support our ongoing projects, and now three lucky people have been awarded their prizes from the accompanying prize draw.
Our partners, Moko Creative, announced the winners from our Changing Lives campaign on YouTube. All three have now been notified and are absolutely thrilled with the news.
Tanja Senders from Holland, wins first prize – a two-week all-expenses-paid trip to volunteer with zoo animals in Malaysia, with APE Malaysia. On receiving the news, Tanja said: “I couldn’t believe the email. I thought it was a joke. That I really get the opportunity to go for the two-week voluntary zoo assistant position. It is amazing, really fantastic, thank you so much!”
Jacqueline Tawse, a veterinary nurse from Sola in Norway, wins second prize – a stunning leopard drawing donated by UK wildlife artist, Stephen Rew. Jacqueline found out about Wild Welfare via her position as a board member for the Norwegian Veterinary Nursing Association.
“After checking out the [Wild Welfare] website I wanted to support the campaign, as I could see from the website that the charity does wonderful work helping to improve the lives of captive wild animals. I am delighted to have won the second prize in the raffle. I am looking forward to seeing the picture in the flesh so I can appreciate it properly,” said Jacqueline.
Sharley Willets is the third and final winner, and receives the VIP family ticket to visit the UK’s Yorkshire Wildlife Park – which we are sure will be an amazing trip.
Congratulations to all the winners and our thanks once again to everyone who supported the campaign.
