Care For Us – Our New Resources

We’re developing a range of species specific, simple but informative advice on their care in captivity.  Understanding an animal’s physiology, social and behavioural needs is essential for appropriate care, but through our work we have identified that even the very basic knowledge on an animal’s specific behavioural and physiological needs is often lacking. This results in generic enclosures and management styles that often result in poor animal welfare.

We hope these short booklets will provide the incentive needed for keepers to learn more about the animals they look after and the practices required to provide a high standard of care.

We’ll be adding to these regularly and if there any specific requests, please let us know at info@wildwelfare.org
