Changing Lives For Zoo Animals Globally

We are thrilled to announce our latest fundraising campaign has launched. With a target of £15,000, we aim to reach more captive wild animals globally and help educate and support more zoos in improving animal welfare within their collections.

With the generous help from a fantastic team at Moko Creative, along with great support from APE Malaysia, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Stephen Rew, the campaign not only offers supporters the chance to help Wild Welfare continue its work with captive animals around the world, it also enables them to secure a fabulous prize.

Every donation made gives our supporters entry to an amazing prize draw.

Prize 1, thanks to Moko Creative’s generous support, is a two-week voluntary zoo assistant experience with our friends APE Malaysia in Malaysian zoos. One lucky supporter of ours will receive free travel and accommodation and take part in the responsible volunteering opportunity with APE Malaysia, where they will get to help and support a wide range of fascinating animals. They will work alongside Malaysian zookeepers learning about how to offer the country’s captive animals the best health and welfare, building enrichments and developing enclosures.

Prize 2, is one that really can be treasured. The incredibly talented artist Stephen Rew, has made a generous donation of one of his stunning leopard drawings. Valued at more than £500, this is the perfect piece of art for animal fans everywhere.

Prize 3 kindly provided by Yorkshire Wildlife Park, is a family-of-four VIP pass to the UK park. Go behind the scenes with experienced keepers, learning about the animals they care for, their health, welfare and behaviour, and explore the rest of the park too. Learn all about Project Polar, YWP’s welfare and conservation project for polar bears, and see the bears at home in their specially created, 10-acre Artic reserve.

This campaign is to enable us to continue helping animals. We can train more zoo staff. We can develop better animal enrichments. We can hold more key discussions with people who can make life better for captive wild animals. Please consider making a donation. Thank you.
