Fundraiser achieves more than £4,000 for zoo animals

Wild Welfare is delighted to announce its Changing Lives for Zoo Animals Around The World fundraiser reached more than £4,000 in its final day!

The online fundraiser, which ended on January 31, raised a total of £4,530, money that will help us extend our work and ensure more zoo animals around the globe receive better welfare.

Wild Welfare’s projects director, Georgina Allen, said: “We are absolutely thrilled by the success of our first-ever fundraising campaign. £4,500 is a significant amount that will go a long way to supporting our many projects.”

The Changing Lives campaign was shared more than one thousand times and gained a large engagement from Wild Welfare’s social media followers. Part of the campaign’s draw was that every supporter automatically gained entry into a raffle to win one of three prizes; a two-week all-expenses-paid trip to volunteer with zoo animals in Malaysia, with APE Malaysia; a leopard drawing by wildlife artist Stephen Rew; or a VIP family trip to the UK’s Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

The Wild Welfare team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the campaign and helped to raise such a tremendous amount. We will be carrying out the raffle draw in partnership with Moko Creative and will contact the winners shortly after that.

We would also like to say thank you to Dave and his team at Moko Creative, who helped us launch the campaign and donated the all-expenses-paid trip to Malaysia. The Moko team are long-term supporters of Wild Welfare and we are very grateful for our continued partnership with them.

After great success with this first campaign, the team are already making plans for the next one!
