Meet Our New Projects & Development Manager!

We’re delighted to welcome Sophie Khan to the Wild Welfare team!  Sophie has a NCTJ Diploma in journalism and is a registered veterinary nurse, putting her in the unique position of being able to apply a variety of communications skills to the fields of animal welfare and veterinary science with experience and enthusiasm.

Prior to joining Wild Welfare, Sophie was working in a busy communications and media relations role for a campaigning animal welfare charity. She has experience writing for magazines, newspapers and websites covering subjects including veterinary science, animals, nature, the environment and many more.

Sophie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Wild Welfare team at such an exciting time for the charity. I’m looking forward to helping grow their work and pushing for better welfare for captive wild animals around the world.”

Sophie has more than 20 years of experience working within the UK veterinary industry prior to moving into the communications field, and she offers a wealth of experience in veterinary medicine and nursing, animal husbandry and animal welfare. We’re really excited to have Sophie join us and help us take Wild Welfare forward – Welcome to the Team!
